Students at West Elementary School, the largest of the district’s facilities for younger students, got an unexpected Tuesday off from classes.
For the second time in less than a week, a water freeze-up shut the facility down in the 1200 block of Seventh Avenue as municipal crews chopped away at the asphalt to get to the connections and pipes that had frozen following one of the coldest winters on record in this part of Wisconsin.
