Winter is just a week old, but thoughts are already turning toward the spring election, when a host of seats on school boards, the Common Council and town boards will be decided.
In the city of Antigo, Mayor Bill Brandt has filed papers for re-election to a third two-year term. The former city police chief was elected in 2009 by a narrow margin, and re-elected with no opposition in 2011.
There are also five aldermanic seats up for re-election.
