Well, after what was in the Antigo paper the other day, which was posted here, now the Antigo Police Department is saying something different on social media about the large amount of police in the area a few days ago.
The blog that was posted on Thursday, "Yesterday's police presence not drug related" had stated that the police activity was on a State level.
Now we have the following post on facebook today from Antigo Police Department:
Antigo Police Department

Heightened law enforcement activity in the area was due to Governor Walker's presence in our area and increased illegal drug enforcement. The Antigo Police Department and the Langlade County Sheriff's Department would like to thank you all for you cooperation and understanding as we continue to battle the Bath Salts epidemic in our area.

I'm sorry but if you use some common sense the police department or police do not have to tell you there plans. Think more before you dramatize every thing. Whats the big deal so what that there are more cops out there in Antigo to get drugs off the street. The only people mad about the lies are the people it effects. The police force is doing there jobs. I for one would say thank you to the Langlade county Sheriffs & Antigo Police departments.

You are an idiot. You are correct that they do not have to tell you their plan. They also don't have to say anything. So feigning your anger at the increased police presence in the paper was foolish at best. Can't cure stupid. I don't like this salts poison either. I don't think anyone in town does minus the users. However I dislike being lied to just as much. They lie because they do whatever they want and don't give a damn what you think. Cowboys above the law, and as the old saying goes if you'll lie about something small, you'll lie about something big. My advice to Mr. Greening: Better to be thought a fool and be silent than to speak and remove all doubt. Good day!

@ Driver: Wow you must be a real winner. Please in all your grand wisdom explain to the audience how lying to the public who you are tying to have help you in these matters helps anything? You must lie so much in your own life that you see no harm in it when a high ranking person in the community does it? Lies affect everyone. Like kids who most adults other than yourself are tying to raise not to LIE.

Seems the good Sheriff forgot something he has said thousands of times "You have the right to remain silent. ANYTHING YOU SAY WILL BE USED AGAINST YOU...just a little refresher.

Yes, he should have kept his mouth shut. There was no reason for him to make that statement or whatever to the paper. One thing that I will not forget is the Cathy Nameth case too, he had said they were close to solving that, and that was like 5 years ago now.

I heard they may have hauled out bath salter Tamie Yarie with them. Anyone know the deal?

I agree they shouldn't lie and they don't have to tell the public there plans. But if there is such a big war on bath salts Why are people only getting probation.I feel that the police department is saying it is OK but only if you rat your friends out. How many times must someone get a slap on the wrist for the same crime.
