Maple producers hoping unusually long, cold and snowy winter is over

The unusually late spring seems like it is finally breaking a bit after one of the most harsh-winters on record in the northwoods, and traditional maple producers were out Sunday tapping trees to do their best to get the season underway. Big producers, with vacuum lines connected to trees have been drawing sap, but squirrels have been attacking the miles of lines causing hundreds of leaks. Full story: Antigo Daily Journal

Maggie sure looks great now. She inspired me to collect sap. This is my 3rd year. Should have credited the photographer because it is such an interesting photo. I saw Maggie on University Place public TV last weekend. Wow! So intelligent. She speaks so well, with such composure and presence. What a blessing for Antigo.

Yes she is a kind and highly intelligent person. She was one of the few city council persons that citizens actually liked.
