I don't think this hospital should be honored, I think that they should be shamed. I am a rape survivor. Afterwards, Langlade Memorial Hospital Emergency Room personnel inferred that it was my fault. I wasn't offered any "morning after" options and they didn't screen for STD's. They reported it to a male police officer who looked at me like he didn't believe me. As with many rape victims who don't receive morning after options, I later discovered I was pregnant and gave birth to a child I couldn't even look at without reliving my nightmare. I gave her up for adoption. The choice of pregnancy was taken away from me by the hospital who doesn't believe in sterilization unless an emergency, who doesn't offer options unless it conforms with their bible thumping beliefs, and could really care less about victims unless it helps them get their name in the paper.

I'm so sorry that you had to go through that, how absolutely horrific!
I hope you can find some peace and I also hope that this hospital will re-evaluate how they handle such things
