I am a little unsure what to think of the latest idea by our School District Administrator to create a volunteer task force to help come up with ideas for the current issues.
On one hand, I think it may be a good idea, since more people without hidden agendas will be taking part. On the other hand, is it really necessary? Why even have a School Board if they can't do their job? Isn't this exact situation part of their duties?
They have lost all credibility, and this may be a good way to regain some of it, but, it may just be too late. They have certainly upset a large amount of residents with their tactics so far.
Here is a quote from the recent article in the Antigo Journal:
"Smolek stressed that those involved in the task force must be willing to commit to the meeting schedule, and demonstrate patience and respect for others. Members must also demonstrate a willingness to listen to other viewpoints, keep an open mind and explore possibilities and express their individual perspective and speak for the stakeholder group they represent."
Is this guy for real? He is asking others to do exactly what he and the School Board should have done from the start!?

I REALLY think that one way for the School Board to regain some credibility would be a PUBLIC apology to all, and especially to those who went above and beyond by calling people, etc. to vote.

The board really needs to be kicked in the nads for their actions thus far. I heard that they are looking into anotheer referendum.... anyone else hear that?

I haven't heard anything about another referendum yet, but, it won't surprise me ifi that is the plan.
