According to the news today, an Antigo man is out of jail on a $300 cash bond for charges involving marijuana.
Aaron T. Schofield of Rollwood Road, age 17, has been charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana and possessing drug paraphernalia.
Schofield had been arrested on Sunday after an auto accident where his car had overturned when he overcorrected. He was not injured in that incident. When the Sheriff's deputy arrived, he smelled marijuana, but, Schofield denied that he had any drugs to begin with. He later admitted it when a search of his vehicle yielded several drug-related items.
Law enforcement found a bag with about 17.5 grams of pot, 3 pot pipes, a grinder, digital scale, wrapping papers, a partially burned joint and around 80 small plastic bags, some with pot residue in them. Schofield told the officer that he had smoked a bowl earlier. He also admitted that he planned to sell most of the marijuana and that he buys about an ounce a week and sells it to others, indicating that number to be around 30 to 40 people.
Judge Kawalski recused himself from this case. A new judge will be assigned.

Know the facts before speaking. There are gang bangers in Antigo! Hell yes there is & they've been here for years! You have to know how to spot them that's all! Not all of them are the sterotypical black men from the ghettos that you see in movies! Let's be honest that IS where the main sources have been coming in from ironically, with many pit stops along the way, but it wouldn't be as bad if the likes of people like these folk weren't abusing their positions & helping it along! The severity of their punishments should exceed to norm because they directly had access to people's children & were in influential positions to corrupt them on a daily basis. Unknowingly many caring parents sent their children off each day to school to learn. I assure you that they were not sent to learn where to buy drugs, or learn how to break the law or learn first hand about what it is like to know first hand what drug addiction is all about. These monsters should never be able to return to any employment where they come in contact with children. And they should be required to register just like sexual predators have to when they move into contaminate another area.

Several of these gang bangers I read, were special education teachers! If they were in contact with any of those special needs children. I have to ask what else besides drugs were the corrupting our children with? Also has anyone taken down a list of their students to question them on any of this? Many mentally handicapped students do not excel at the same pace as a student who doesn't have a handicap would. What if they are still being abused and can't speak for themselves?

What is wrong with you? This is not a rhetorical question. Do you assume that because a person smokes marijuana on their personal time (which, p.s., I do not) that they are a gang banger? And that must mean that we must subject innocent people who knew them to interrogation? Take a look at what you are proposing here and see who would be the victim in this circumstance.
I think this subject is a dead horse that should be walked away from.

Not like it was actually something bad like alcohol or tobacco or hard drugs. Abusing kids with this sick law is a crime against humanity. Cannabis is GOOD. What a vicious world for kids when the ones they trust to guide them fail so miserably with the war on drugs. A war on health and freedom. Ask your self,is the community safer now? Will it make even a dent in supply? Prohibition is wrong. The plant is good, Sick sick message to our kids.

Hilarious. Kids missing all over with no police arrest. Bombs blowing us up with police not able to succeed. Lets make it look like we are worth our wage by busting kids for cannabis. Desperate misdirected pathetic. End the war on health and freedom. Hire cops smart enough not to be mere toads of corporate corruption. The majority want legalization. Why do our officials not serve and protect the citizens and not corruption? SICK!! The irony is that the verycar he was busted in has standard built in paraphernalia for tobacco which is harmful but legal. Built in cup rests for the most widely used drug on Earth, caffeine! So another non violent kid is destroyed by corruption. SICK!

POINT BLANK! I have heard both sides of the argument on pot. And quite honestly...I think the Only acceptable use for it is in a Medicinal aspect. And that is My Opinion. As far as the Police...let Them do Their JOB!

Dear Tamie Yarie, "Must Suck" According to Wisconsin Circuit Court Access Program your house located at N2448 Crestwood in Antigo is not paid for and never was. It was in foreclosure with Connexus Credit Union in Weston and recently went on the auction block. You would have nothing if you didn't take take take from your mommy and daddy. Really that's their house not yours, but if it makes you feel "inferior" to tell the truth it doesn't surprise me at all. That's what dumb druggies do lie, cheat and steal to get ahead in life. Look in the mirror and see where advocating pot and bath salts gets you. Your dirty little secret isn't a secret anymore EVERYONE KNOWS YOUR GAMES AND ARE ON TO YOU! LOL LOL Time to drop you like a bad habit.

To the genius with the "slow brains" comment, tell that to one of the top professors at UW Madison that I used to rip with all day when I lived there. You're the definition of ignorant. I bet you're one of these straight edged drinkers here in Antigo who sits at a bar guzzling poison then "teach" people how harmful a plant is, without any knowledge of it whatsoever. Can I say, you might have attended one too many DARE seminars. ;)

Obviously you were high through out your entire schooling. Maybe would have been beneficial for you to pay attention when DARE was more prevalent in the schools. SLOW BRAINS MAKE SLOW DECISIONS....DUMMY

First of all whoes to say your descisions need to be made fast? why does that even matter? shouldn't you take time and think through you're decisions? Second of all marijuana doesn't make you're brain slow, show me some legitimate sources and i'll maybe listen to what you have to say....

"Your" not "you're." The point was that that you are not able to make faster decisions. Not that it is expected that you make careless fast decisions. Keep working on it, you will get better.

Mother of 2, so you don't appoint the plants use in industry? We can use hemp to subtle the wood industry and keep some forests. Also, how is it going to be legalized if people just sit around and talk against it? Never in my existence would I think that a plant would be off limits to citizens...
Mother_of_2 replied on
I believe that it has many different uses...in its "true" form. Not the "pot" that has added chemicals. If a Persons need it for a Medical reason...Im All for it. But, Not for Someone to sit around essentially "catching a buzz".

Are you brain dead? replied on
Are you brain dead? Why would any citizen in this country petition the police in the first place? Do you have any inkling how laws are put in place? Of course you would rather talk out your a$$ than base your conversation on fact. Nobody should look to the police for approval of law changes. They are law enforcement. Or to make it quite simple for the slow folks they only enforce whichever laws actual lawmakers create. With the exception of the close friends or family that are let off for warning dui's and such. However small corruption such as that exists in every department. The people are the driving force to change law not the cops or their opinion on anything. If a bunch of my friends have mortgages that depend on raiding people for a stupid plant. What do you think the odds of people like that ever admitting there is nothing wrong and the law should be changed? You are laughable man. You say here is the thing weed is illegal and alcohol is legal. Well here is the thing you mindless twit. Weed used to be legal and alcohol was illegal and people weren't tearing the country apart ...oh yes they were I stand corrected all the soaks and those making a buttload of cash were shooting the place up for alcohol as I recall...hmmm you damn hypocrite. Go have a martini and a chaser of stfu!

First of all for all of you talking about pot head losers, I think that you need to understand a little something. This is not some stupid loser druggie that they are talking about here. A good student, a good person in general, so lumping all people that make mistakes into one stereotypical category is rather ignorant on your part. He's a KID, kids make mistakes, just like all of you on a daily basis, so sitting up there on your high horse acting like you don't just makes you look foolish. That said, I'm not an advocate of pot, and yes it is illegal. I have kids of my own and I would be irate in this situation, however judging people on one story you read just makes you look like an a--. Excuse my language. Stereotyping people you don't know when you don't know the whole story is not a wise decision. We have all seen the war on bullying as far as kids are concerned but when grown adults start doing so, its going way too far. You have no idea what happened or why. So maybe you should think about these things before running your mouth. And as far as the judge, he excused himself from the case because he knows the family. If he feels he can't be impartial to any parties involved he has every right and responsibility to do so. Good call on his part. So before you make snap judgments realize that everyone that makes a mistake is not a horrible person, and should not be looked at or categorized that way
