The first of those March weather teasers is here, and it brought readings high enough to win the Antigo/Langlade County Chamber of Commerce gift certificate from the Antigo Daily Journal contest to predict the first day reaching 50 degrees.
On Tuesday, Accuweather, the source selected as the Journal’s official temperature guide, said it reached 50. And that was good enough to get a $25 certificate heading to Pete Miller at his Trillium Lane address east of Antigo.
He had missed the mark by a few days, but certainly not that many.
