Downtown owners will pay for sidewalk reconstruction on 5th Avenue, but residents in a 3 block section of Langlade Road are off the hook for driveway approaches for a sidewalk that will be extended.
The Antigo City Council made those decisions and approved several other items at their Wednesday meeting. The driveway approach project will be paid for by the city, as has been set by precedent with these types of projects in the past. The cost will be $5,000. The vote asking the residents to pay was defeated 8-1, with Alderman Joe Kapusta voting yes.
