State's School Accountability Legislation Will Have More Detail Next Week

The state Senate's Education Reform Committee will hold a public hearing next Tuesday on its version of a school accountability package. Unlike the Assembly version, Senate Republicans are not insisting on sanctions for low-performing schools. Also, the Senate measure would not give letter grades to schools, or let private school voucher students choose from multiple tests.
