There seems to be something special about a hot dog fresh from the grill in front of a roaring bonfire. Perhaps it is even better when it is served on a 30 degree winter evening.
That was the case Tuesday when the city’s Street Department and the Antigo Optimist Club got together for the annual Christmas tree burn.
It clears up the used Yule trees and provides an outing for dozens of people who enjoy the warmth from the blaze. They also have an opportunity to say farewell to the busy holiday season.
