Employees and associates of Nueske’s Applewood Smoked Meats are mourning the death of the company’s owner.
Robert “Bob” D. Nueske, son of company founder “R.C.” Nueske and the company’s president, died Monday of complications following knee replacement surgery. He was 67 years old.
Nueske was born on Feb. 22, 1947, and grew up working closely with his father, R.C. Nueske, founder of the family’s now third-generation smokehouse.
