The northern section of snowmobile trails in Langlade County, traditionally the first to open as farm fields await a deeper snow cover, were welcoming machines at 8 a.m. today. Eric Rantala, the county’s forest administrator, explained the area involved is in the northern section of the county where the forests have enough snow to make the sport work.
But there are restrictions.
The trails south of Highway J will remain closed from the Lincoln County line to Highway 45, and intersection 42A to the intersection of Highways C, H and I.
