'Keep it Green' reminder to be aware of fire dangers offered for holiday

Rural Fire Control Chief Neal Wozniak offered an important reminder today, urging residents to keep safety on the top of the list throughout the holiday season.

The advice comes as wreaths are placed on the exterior of all of Langlade County’s firehouses, each affixed with green bulbs as part of the Keep it Green fire safety campaign which runs today through Jan. 5.

A green bulb is replaced with a red bulb to mark each structure fire during the six week program. The hope is that the wreaths serve as a visual reminder that safety should be of the utmost of importance.
