The Antigo/Langlade County Chamber of Commerce held its second annual banquet Thursday evening at the Edison Club Events Center, which drew a large and interesting cross-section of the community for an excellent chicken dinner with all of the trimmings.
Deena Grabowsky, the chamber's director, welcomed the crowd, thanking them for attending. She illustrated a list of accomplishments by the organization including addition of 14 new members, had personal contact with almost 14,000 through phone calls and visitors at the office and printed and distributed 3,000 copies of the 2014 Visitor Guide. She added that the chamber continued a five-county partnership to increase traffic to the northwoods with a Facebook page that now has more than 19,000 likes.
