The first major winter storm of the season has arrived in western and north-central Wisconsin.
The local weather forecast does not predict the deep snow other sources are, but it still will be substantial for early November and icy roads have already been and most likely will continue to be a problem.
Antigo police and Langlade County sheriff’s deputies responded to a number of traffic accidents today as the snow began to fall heavily during the morning hours before slowing, at least temporarily prior to the noon hour.
