Drug cases clog courtroom, several defendants sentenced

Possession of illegal drugs was a common theme for individuals whose cases were called in Langlade County Circuit Court this week.

Troy Cotter, 27, of Elcho was sentenced Friday to serve a one-year term of probation as part of a ruling which cleared several pending cases filed as the result of an Aug. 27 traffic stop in the town of Price.

Officials said he had slightly under three grams of marijuana and a pipe in his possession.
