School board eyes increase in rate for using hockey rink at fairgrounds

It will cost a bit more for the Antigo Red Robins to use the indoor ice at the fairgrounds, under the terms of an agreement approved by the board of education on Tuesday.

The board, meeting for its regular monthly session, approved a new three-year agreement with the Antigo Area Youth Hockey Association for use of the ice rink located in the multi-purpose building at the fairgrounds.

Under the new plan, the district will pay $8,500 for this school year, $9,000 in 2015-16, and $9,500 in 2016-17.
