Former Antigo woman receives sentence for bath salts

A former Antigo woman with multiple cases involving bath salts was sentenced in a few cases today in Langlade County court.

Taylor Elizabeth Lowell, 23, of Rosholt, formerly of Antigo, was sentenced to serve six months in jail for possession of a hazardous substance with the intent to abuse (bath salts). She will receive credit for 124 days served. She was also sentenced to 30 days jail time for possession of drug paraphernalia, which was already served. A deferred judgment was revoked for a charge of possession of narcotic drugs, she was sentenced to 2 years probation with a 3 year prison sentence which was imposed and stayed.

In a separate case, she received a 1 year probation term for misdemeanor bail jumping, along with 6 months in jail with credit for 124 days.

Charges of maintaining a drug trafficking place and possession of a controlled substance were dismissed.

She has another case, which is still open, for charges of possession of a switchblade knife, distribution of hazardous substance with abuse known (bath salts), two counts of possess with intent to deliver narcotics, felony bail jumping and possession of drug paraphernalia. She entered not guilty pleas to those charges. The court modified her bond amount of $5,000 cash to $5,000 signature bond. She is scheduled to return to court on August 13.
