According to news reports, Michael Brayton, the former Langlade County Sheriff's Deputy has pleaded guilty to one charge of second degree sexual assault of a child.
The information indicates that for that one charge alone, he could spend close to 25 years in prison.
He was charged with four counts of second degree sexual assault of a child, two counts of child enticement-sexual contact and sixteen counts of exposing genitals to a child. Of those 22 counts, 21 will be dismissed.
He is accused of sending text messages to minor girls showing his genitals, along with having sexual contact with minor girls.
He resigned from the Sheriff's Department when the charges were filed.

How come this clown wasn't fired. Cops always let each other "resign" when breaking the law. What a joke. Fire him and eliminate any pension. Then there is the case of Jason Just partying with teens and hanging with teeny bopper girls and what do you know it was swept under the carpet and he was allowed to move on and be a sex offender somewhere else. How special!

You can thank our sheriff, Bill Greening. Bill has gotten soft on criminals, or better yet, just doesn't care. That's why if Joe Steigl runs for Sheriff, I'd feel absolutely safe with him safeguarding our community. This city deserves a better class of leadership.

I have yet to see anything indicating that Joe is indeed running for Sheriff. However he is a stand up guy and really hope he is considering running for the position.

Even though this guy is a cop , I don't feel he's any different than a lot more people who are not in law enforcement and making deals to clear there own -sses up. Day after day, week after week , and month after month. Don't hate just because he may have gotten a better deal than some of you other druggies and drunk driver's.

Tom are you dumb? Your statement "I don't feel he is any different" is just plain dumb. Well Tom he is... He is in a postition of power. He is supposed to be a shining example of upholding the law while enforcing it on everyone else. Instead he used that power to attract and inappropriately touch little girls. If you can't see that as wrong Tom maybe someone needs to look at your hard drive there Tom?

With so many police officers committing horrible and deadly crimes, how are we supposed to teach our children good values? Look at religion and how so many priests etc. are child molesters?
No, I do not think that these people are the same as everyone else. They should be dealt with much more severely. When they take these kinds of positions, they have to take an oath. They understand clearly the laws and clearly, they are aware of their actions.
That stupid comment at the end of your post: “Don't hate just because he may have gotten a better deal than some of you other druggies and drunk driver's.” That is just absurd and really show’s your mentality again. I am not a druggy (as you most stupidly put it) or a drunk driver and I am sill very upset about this horrible excuse of a man getting off so light.
