As "female acquaintance" i am not very happy about the article in the journal tonight. some of the information written should have been left in the court room. there is stuff there that had i known it was going to be available to general public i might not have reported. i didn't even tell my family about some of this stuff and they found out because they read the newspaper. i am embarrassed and angry. couldn't it have been left at just listing the charges?

No offense to you, but, any time that criminal charges are brought against someone, the information becomes public. A person can get a copy of the criminal complaint which contains all the info, you just have pay for it I believe.
I really hope that you think about what you are saying here. I am assuming that you are referring to the abuse charges and if that is the case you need to seriously get out of that situation! You should not be hiding it from your family, you should be asking them for help to get away from the abuser. I know it's not easy, but, you are better than that and no one deserves to be strangled or hurt. Please, get yourself some help and get rid of this guy for good! Best wishes to you!

I cannot receive copy of reports becauseif i have to testify having notes might influence what i say. i understand first amendment and all of that. but isn't the article supposed to be about charges in court. do the other cases listed have quotes? I'm not so much upset about article itself. what angers me is the section at end. from the phrase "he choked her" to conditions of bond none of that is necessary. it also wasn't mentioned in court. Those statements in between cwere in police report. i wish they would have stayed there at least until AFTER they came out in court.

Thank you for the advice. he is in custody so i am away from it. and yes you are right anyone can purchase a copy of a report. but not till after wards. at least that's what i was told. I'm not allowed to have copy of my report so i don't think the public needs to know. i understand first amendment and public record. it isn't the article itself that bothers me. it is some of the details are unnecessary for the article. From phrase "he had choked her" to the conditions of bond are not necessary for the charges to be understood.
