According to news reports and court records, a number of cases were heard in court and bonds were set.
Melissa L. Merchant, 30 of Schofield (formerly of Antigo), was released on a $1,000 signature bond for charges of theft and bail jumping. She is accused of stealing from Mojo's, Antigo Resale Frontier and The Thirsty Soul. Items were found in a bag that she had left in the bathroom at Family Video. Just hours before the thefts happened, Ms. Merchant had been in court for a felony charge of first degree reckless endangerment of safety, which is related to a man dying from a drug overdose in 2009 in Merchant's residence.
Zachary T. Pomar, 21 of Forrest Avenue, was charged with burglary for his alleged involvement in break-in at Buckshots tavern in Bryant. Alcohol was taken from the bar. He was released on $1,000 signature bond.
Amber M. Rudolph, 26, of First Avenue, received a $1,000 signature bond for possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting or obstructing an officer. She entered a plea of not guilty. The charges stem from a traffic stop on Nov. 8, where evidence of drug use, specifically bath salts, was found.
Kole T. Packard of Mapleview road, age 19, received a $500 signature bond for charges of battery and criminal charges to property. He entered a plea of not guilty. The charges were from a disturbance at an Antigo bar.
Benjamin A. Maerzke of Burlington, age 20, was released on a $500 signature bond for a count of theft. He allegedly stole $47 from a family member.
Paul R. Zeise of Polar, 28, had his bond set at $250 cash for bail jumping. He entered a plea of not guilty. A disturbance on Nov. 17 at a Langlade bar, with a woman caused the charge. He was out on bond from Oconco County and was ordered not to have contact with the woman.
A $100 cash bond was set for Reeca Herman of Balsam Street for a possession of drug paraphernalia charge.
Joellen A. Wissbroecker of Lincoln Street, age 18, entered pleas of not guilty for battery and disorderly conduct. She is accused of punching a woman, and hitting a six month old baby in the process.
