According to news reports and court records, an Antigo man has been convicted of manufacturing THC with deferred prosecution, after he posted photos of his pot plants on Twitter.
Lawrence J. Cahak, 43, of South Park Street entered a plea deal and received deferred prosecution for two years on a felony count of manufacturing marijuana. If he stays out of trouble for the two years, the charge could be removed from his record.

A search warrant was obtained for Cahak's home after he had posted photos of the pot plants on Twitter. At first, he denied that the plants were his, but, the search turned up the plants.
According to the criminal complaint, 16 live plants were found, all of them about three feet high and with buds. The plants were found in a room that was approximately five foot by four foot, in a basement. Most of the plants were in a PVC pipe holder, which provided water to them. Some were in potting containers with dirt. There was also timers, fans, heat exchange equipment, a carbon dioxide tank hooked to a fan, and reflective Mylar on the walls.
In addition to the plants, there was nine glass pipes, 60 grams of pot from numerous bags & jars, and 248 grams of loose marijuana found in the home.
