The crowds were big, the chili steaming and the parade a tribute to local businesses and organizations last week.
Antigo and Langlade County turned out in huge numbers Wednesday to make chili, produce festive Yule floats and there were thousands of people on hand who devoured hundreds of pounds of chili from more than 45 roasters in stands, tents and sheds erected on sidewalks of along Fifth Avenue.
And by the time the lights flickered on the last float about 7:30 p.m., Santa had arrived in the community.
