With consolidation of district elementary schools looming in just six months, the Antigo school board will go back to the drawing board Tuesday.
The board will meet in special session at 7 p.m. in the Middle School library, with plans for a wide-open discussion of the recent elementary referendum defeat and further options.
By a 59 percent to 41 percent margin, voters in the district last week rejected a proposal to construct a new central elementary school and close all seven current facilities. It marked the third time the plan has gone down in defeat.
