Woman charged with injecting morphine into child admits guilt

District Attorney Ralph Uttke said today he would ask a judge to order an Antigo woman to pay travel costs for the medical care of young girl who acquired Hepatitis C after being forcibly injected with morphine. The request will officially be made during a sentencing hearing scheduled May 29 for 20-year old Nicole Bessert who pleaded guilty to two criminal charges. They include a felony count of physical abuse of a child, intentionally causing harm, and a misdemeanor charge of contributing to the delinquency of a child. Full Story: Antigo Daily Journal
