Menominee County officials have scheduled a press conference for later this afternoon to discuss progress in battling flood waters caused by a rapid snow melt and ice jams on the Wolf River.
A flood warning remains in effect for Keshena with the Wolf River water levels rising again in the area. Ice jams on the river are causing minor flooding, according to the National Weather Service.
“We are still assessing the situation, continuously,” Ben Warrington, Menominee Tribal emergency management coordinator, said.
