White Lake board thanks 24-year school secretary, plans to retire

The White Lake board of education accepted, with thanks, the retirement of longtime school secretary Georgia Heistad on Tuesday. At its regular monthly meeting, the board acknowledged the work of the secretary, who has been employed with the district for 24 years. She will be leaving on June 30. “The board wanted to thank her for her unconditional service and dedication to the White Lake students,” District Administrator Bill Fisher said. “She’s one-of-a-kind.” Full Story: Antigo Daily Journal
