Trolley maker goes 'green' with new model

Crandon-based Hometown Trolley has been awarded a $2.6 million contract with the city of Alpena to build new fully-electric trolleys over the next two years. Alpena was awarded a grant under the Clean Fuels Act to utilize a platform that did not burn fossil fuels, which provided the opportunity for Hometown Trolley to market their innovative new vehicle.
