It got very, very cold in the Antigo area Monday evening and early today coming within one degree of the low record for Jan. 12, and surging past it by four ticks earlier today.
The data, prepared by Intellicast.com, shows the low reading last night was minus 24, which occurred sometime during the evening or early this morning.
The low for Monday is minus 25, a number set in 1974, and today it is 20 below, set in 1999. It is very likely that early today it was four degrees colder than the record.
