Sunday was an ideal day for family wellness event

An exceptional crowd enjoyed skating, sledding and even bowling on the ice at the annual Fun and Family Wellness Day Sunday at Peaceful Valley Park.

The annual event, designed to mix healthy fun and food with a dose of information about disease prevention, drew about 200 participants.

“Overall, the event is really fun,” Sarah Repp, director of parks and recreation for the city of Antigo, said. “ It's great to work with the sponsors that have returned year after year, which makes planning, staffing and clean-up a breeze.”
