The Great Northern Conference, which has Antigo as its southern-most member and Eagle River and Minocqua on the north, decided Wednesday that the late winter of 2013 has won the battle.
At a meeting of athletic directors in Tomahawk, the fact that snow is still piled on most baseball and softball diamonds, golf courses, track and field sites and soccer fields, sports activities will not be held now or in the immediate future.
