Sentencing has been set Feb. 1 for the proprietor of a massive marijuana grow — perhaps Langlade County’s largest — uncovered in the town of Rolling earlier this summer.
Matthew T. Karcz, 28, of W11252 W. Bear Lake Road entered pleas of no contest here Tuesday to two counts — the manufacture or delivery of marijuana and maintaining a drug trafficking place. Both are felonies and Karcz, who has past drug convictions, is charged as repeat offender, increasing his possible term of incarceration to 19 1/2 years.
