School tax impact less than anticipated

The Antigo school district’s 2013-14 budget picture, traditionally fuzzy as the district awaits final enrollment counts and state aid estimates, is coming into focus, and the increase in the tax rate will be less than first anticipated. At a special meeting Tuesday, the district’s administrative staff reviewed the latest budget numbers with the board of education, projecting a 7.56 percent increase in the rate.
