Rev. Hoffmann celebrates 50 years as a priest

Rev. Charles Hoffmann, who served as pastor at St. John Catholic in Antigo for 33 years, celebrated his 50th year as a priest Sunday. The church was full for the 11 a.m. Mass, and the crowd gave the veteran clergyman a standing ovation when the service was ending, a very rare situation in the Catholic Church.
