REGI tries, but can't save rare Golden Eagle

An adult male Golden Eagle, a rare sight in Wisconsin, has died at Raptor Education Group, Inc., bringing a new light to concerns about lead poisoning in wildlife and humans. “It’s sad,” Marge Gibson, executive director of REGI, which is located southeast of Antigo said. “It appeared that he was improving, but unfortunately he couldn’t overcome the effects of the lead.” Full Story: Antigo Daily Journal
