Public works projects heat up

As mid-August arrives, the city of Antigo is awash in public works projects.

Department of Public Works crews are patching potholes, personnel from the state Department of Transportation have placed the new left turn signals at the Highway 64/45 intersection into operation, greatly easing congestion at that northside corner, and the big equipment from the Langlade County Highway Department is clawing into the North Elementary School playground preparing for repaving.
