The Wisconsin and National Department of Agriculture are keeping a close eye on the potato crop now coming out of the ground in Langlade County.
The agents said that production during 2013 totaled 26 million hundredweight, and that figure was down 3.4 million from the previous year.
In Wisconsin this year, 62,500 acres were planted in Wisconsin, and that’s down 2,000 from 2012.
