Pair of Snowmobile Accidents In Area Keeps Law Enforcement Busy

A pair of snowmobile accidents left one teen dead, and a man injured. Langlade County Sheriff's Deputies responded to an accident Saturday morning just north of Diamond Roof Road in Langlade County. Authorities spoke with others in the man's group who said he was riding behind them, and they weren't aware he was missing until their next stopping point. They believe that "snow dust" created by his machine made him lose control and leave the trail. The 50 year old suffered 4 broken ribs, a broken sternum, broken wrist, and other leg injuries. He was cited for failure to maintain control.

Nineteen-year-old Emily Lyons of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin died Sunday at the hospital.
