Now 78, Lucas hit Triple Crown trail early with Strong Mandate

The Kentucky Derby is eight months away, and Antigo native D. Wayne Lukas has the early favorite. Lukas celebrated his 78th birthday in style Monday, winning the Hopeful Stakes for two-years-olds with Strong Mandate, who had been dismissed at odds of 7-1. Full Story: Antigo Daily Journal
