Not guilty plea in case linked to drug death

A former Antigo woman entered a plea of not guilty in Langlade County Circuit Court today to an allegation she failed to provide proper aid to a man prior to him dying of a drug overdose in 2009. Melissa L. Merchant, 30, of Wausau stands charged with a felony count of being party to a crime of first degree reckless endangerment of safety. Shane D. Merchant, 37, of 412 First Ave. is charged with an identical offense and has also pleaded not guilty to the charge. Full Story: Antigo Daily Journal
