Langlade County posted mixed results in the latest jobless numbers released by the state’s Department of Workforce Development this week.
The county’s unemployment rate fell between June and July, to 7.7 percent, a full 1 percent lower then a year ago.
But after being a northwoods leader in employment for months, the county is now sagging behind much of the region, with the sixth highest unemployment rate in the state.
