State Senator Tom Tiffany of Hazelhurst, whose district includes Antigo and Langlade County, chaired Wednesday’s hearing sponsored by the Senate and Assembly mining committees. Tiffany, chairman of the Senate committee, introduced the bill, which is designed to ease the process to construct an iron ore mine in northern Wisconsin.
