Langlade County criminal court activity 04.16.2014

Jail sentences and probation ordered for a handful of criminals, along with a few new charges filed today.

Angie L. Cmelak of Elcho, 22, had a $500 signature bond set for a charge of theft in a business setting. As a condition of bond, she must not have contact with Walmart. A sentencing hearing is set for April 20.

Mark A. Szarkowitz of Kaukauna, 46, was sentenced to serve 60 days in jail for a fourth offense of operating while intoxicated. He will receive credit for 39 days served. A second charge of operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration was dismissed in a plea agreement. He is also required to go through alcohol and drug assessment with follow through and install an ignition interlock device on his vehicle for one year. His drivers license was revoked for 26 months and he was fined $1,959 plus court costs.

Terry James Koeller of Wausau Road, 29, was sentenced to one year probation for domestic disorderly conduct.

Nichole M. Soman of Wabeno, 33, was sentenced to serve 45 days in jail and two years probation for possession with intent to deliver marijuana, in addition she was ordered to undergo alcohol and drug assessment with follow through and pay court costs. A charge of possession of drug paraphernalia was dismissed.

Cody J. Umentum of Oshkosh, 19, was fined $100 plus costs for possession of marijuana. If he remains crime free for one year, the charge will be expunged. A second charge of possession of drug paraphernalia was dismissed.

Tara M. Bailey of Fulton Street, 40, was sentenced to one year probation for domestic abuse disorderly conduct as a repeater.

Justin C. Jeter of Third Avenue, 23, was ordered to pay court costs for retail theft. A charge of resisting or obstructing an officer was dismissed.

New cases filed today:

Reeca J. Herman of Balsam Street, 22, was charged with possession of marijuana and misdemeanor bail jumping. She is on a $500 signature bond. Her next court date is scheduled for June 2.

Brittany L. Maguire of White Lake, 29, was charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of narcotic drugs, felony bail jumping, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of an illegally obtained prescription. Her bond is currently set at $10,000 cash. She is scheduled to return to court on April 21.
