Langlade County criminal court activity for March 20, 2014.
Luke C. Messer of County Highway AA, 33, was sentenced to 18 months probation for possessing a firearm as a felon. In a separate case, deferred prosecution was revoked on a charge of failing to support a child. He was sentenced to 18 months probation, which runs concurrent. Two charges of possessing a firearm as a felon, two charges of receiving stolen property and felony bail jumping were dismissed.
Paul Robert Zeise of Gillett, 29, was sentenced to 18 months probation for retail theft and misdemeanor bail jumping. He was sentenced to 5 days in jail for operating while revoked. He was fined $150 for failing to install or tampering with an ignition interlock device. He must also spend 14 days in jail for a separate case of misdemeanor bail jumping. The jail sentences run consecutive. There are four separate cases involved, of which five charges of misdemeanor bail jumping, tampering with or failing to install ignition interlock device and resisting or obstructing an officer were dismissed. He must also undergo alcohol and drug assessment and follow through, anger management, domestic abuse counseling and pay court costs.
