Kraut tradition continues Sunday

A six-decade tradition continues Sunday when the Peace Lutheran Men’s Club hosts its annual sauerkraut dinner.

Serving will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the church’s Fellowship Hall. The menu will include select beef and pork, sauerkraut, potatoes, relishes and cake.

The sauerkraut tradition dates to 1955, when members of the group got together to raise funds to establish a clubhouse on land donated by the Tigerton Lumber Company on Highway T for youth activities such as Boy Scouts.
