Jail time and probation ordered for bath salt cases

Two Antigo persons have been sentenced in court for charges related to bath salts. Travis J. Koeppel of Marl Road in Phlox, age 33, was ordered to serve one year of jail time for his constant stream of criminal charges in past months. His strange activity landed him in trouble, due at least in part, from using bath salts. He was found passed out in a vehicle & in a separate incident he was acting strangely in a business & resisted when police took him into custody. Some of his charges were dismissed in a plea agreement. He was also placed on probation for a term of three years. Taylor E. Lowell of Antigo, 22, was placed on probation for one year for charges of possession with intent to abuse a hazardous substance (bath salts), possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of narcotic drugs. Additional charges were dismissed in a plea agreement. Her home on Deleglise Street was raided by police and items found were glass pipes, rubber hoses, straws, glass vials, water bong, and estimated 6 grams of bath salts. Cellphones and a computer were also taken for evidence. In the plea agreement, along with the one year of probation, she received a deferred prosection on a count of possession of narcotic drugs. If she completes probation successfully, that count will be dismissed.
