Jail time and probation for bath salt cases

A few bath salt cases have concluded in Langlade County court this past week. Nathan R. Bailey of Deleglise Street, 24, was sentenced to approximately six months in jail and two years of probation for various charges including many bail jumping charges, theft by acquisition of a credit card and possession of drug paraphernalia. Some charges were dismissed in a plea agreement, including possession with intent to abuse a hazardous substance (bath salts). He is also required to repay $780 that he had stolen from a family member with a credit card. Jason R. Bauknecht of Morse Street, 24, received a sentence of one year of probation for a charge of possession with intent to abuse a hazardous substance (bath salts) for an incident at his home lat April. Justin J. Hipke of Lincoln Street, 29, was sentenced to two years of probation for possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a revoked license and obstructing or resisting an officer. A charge of possession of bath salts was dismissed. Items had been found in his car after being pulled over on Bear Lake Road.
