A popular New Year’s resolution is to lose weight or to eat healthier. For many these resolutions are difficult to maintain and are abandoned within three to six months after January.

The best (and healthiest) way to lose weight is to eat healthier and increase physical activity. To be successful you should start slow and make changes that are maintainable. The reason diets and extreme exercise routines don’t work for most people is because they are seen as temporary actions to lose weight.
