High speed chase driver bound over for trial & other court activity

The Antigo man accused of leading law enforcement officers on a high speed chase has been bound over for trial in Langlade County court. Alek P. Koeppel, age 19, of Virginia Street is being charged with first degree reckless endangerment of safety, hit and run, resisting arrest, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and attempting to flee/elude an officer. He is scheduled to return to court on July 23. Jolene Hoecherl, age 25, of Irving Street did not receive any additional jail time to what she has already served for possessing a firearm as a felon and possession of drug paraphernalia. Another firearm count and a charge of possession with intent to abuse a hazardous substance was dismissed. She was in jail for 242 days while the case was pending. She received probation for one year and alcohol and drug assessment was ordered. Her co-defendants had made threats to others which indicated that the firearms may be used. Those firearms were found in Hoecherl's residence. Dominic Bellomy, age 22, from Mole Lake received a sentence of 30 days in jail for the break-in of Bad Habit Bar in Neva last year. Several bottles of alcohol were stolen in the burglary. He was also charged with criminal damage to property. He received a deferred prosecution for two years on the felony burglary count. He must pay restitution of $350 also. Fernando Martinez-Diaz, age 25, of Mattoon, received a fine of $50 plus costs for disorderly conduct.
